Discoverer of The Archive
Taran the Unequaled. the equivalent of Sinbad the Sailor and Jason and the Argonauts. He had supposedly sailed from Alar Prime using a ship powered by Solar winds having adventures, falling through wormholes, stealing treasures, and spending them, rescuing maidens in distress, and finding the Archive.
The story went that Taran’s ship had crash landed on a planet that was mostly water with a yellow star. He had seen a comet and decided to chase it, after following it out of the system he was pulled into the gravitational field of the Archive and again crash landed on it.
Taran the Unequaled crashed a lot.
Taran then fell down a hole and was shown the wonders of the universe and was given a route to get home to Alar.

Significance: The Core, The Interior and The Zone
Description: Three distinct areas of the Alarian Imperial Empire.
The Core is strictly limited to Alarian ships, Alarians and their servants.
The Interior, stable borders are firmly established between Clans. Highly regulated with taxes, tariffs and regulations.
The Zone, expansion area of space, up for grabs between Clans, all area is considered Alarian even if the Alarians have not been to it yet.
Location: Centered around Alar Prime, everything but the Core is subject to change, and The Core may be changed upon the whim of the emperor.

Description: Bipedal, average height 2 meters, green, four arms when they are adults, earth like atmosphere, a low gravity planet, limited eyesight, and reflexes and speed is a bit below human levels, so a terrible fighter.
Home world destroyed by Alarians, refugees around the galaxy.

Characteristics: More plant than animal, no warriors no tech a simple race from a simple planet, no minerals to speak of and unable to live off world so they only thing the planet is good for is organic material even water is hard to harvest due to the massive vegetation. Natural ability to create low levels of Tachyon radiation with their thoughts, cannot influence time, but occasionally in large groups can predict the future, especially if a stranger is among them.
Still under the study by the Alarian Secret Intelligence Apparatus the Callahnity.

Description: A race that acts as administrators, clerks, and functionaries for the Alarian empire. Trusted by the Alarians to handle weapons in a limited fashion. Physically similar to humans.

Description: A race that have an innate ability to understand any language once they hear it, and are also a race with great empathetic abilities. Discovered by the Alarains and enslaved by them due to their pacifist nature, sold into slavery for their abilities and used primarily by rich Alarian traders and politican. Golden skinned, very much like humans, typically blonde hair. Thinner and less muscular then humans.

Description: The Alarians originators of the collaboration the Horde; brought the other two races together. The Alarians are directed by a guiding philosophy of good old fashion greed and lust for power achieved by conquest, dictatorships, and raping a planet of its resources whether they were animal, vegetable or mineral. Black, dark blue or green hair. Black teeth. Black blood. Blue spit.
Writing Origin: Based on the blue aliens, the Gamilas, in the starship Yamato series that I watched as s kid.
Added the tattoos based on the Maori tribal tattoos, but more angular, like the Alarian bone structure.

First Appearance: In the short story Recover and Discovered by a team lead by Faith Westlock (mentioned as doing an economic study in Disconnect)
Description: A race of pure scientists, insect like aliens, emotionless at least to humanoids, society cloaked in secrecy to outsiders, even the Alarians do not know where their home world is.
Writing Origin: The other end of the spectrum from the Stetonians, hyper dependent on tech.
