First Appearance:  None at the time of this entry.  (mentioned as doing an economic study in Disconnect)

Description:  A race of pure scientists, insect like aliens,  emotionless at least to humanoids,  society cloaked in secrecy to outsiders,  even the Alarians do not know where their home world is.

Writing Origin:  The other end of the spectrum from the Stetonians, hyper dependent on tech.
